Class 1 Resin (ASTM E84)
Maximum Fire Safety: Flame Spread Index ≤ 25
Certified Class A / Class 1 fire retardant resins for architectural and industrial applications.
What is Class 1 Resin?
Class 1 Resin (also referred to as Class A in some building codes) specifies a resin system that achieves a Flame Spread Index (FSI) of 25 or less when tested according to the ASTM E84 standard (Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials).
Achieving this rating is critical for interior wall and ceiling finishes in public buildings, transport hubs, and high-risk industrial environments. Changyuan provides specialized Class 1 fire retardant resins that meet these stringent requirements while maintaining excellent mechanical strength.
ASTM E84 Classification:
- Class A (Class 1): Flame Spread Index 0-25 (Highest Protection)
- Class B (Class 2): Flame Spread Index 26-75
- Class C (Class 3): Flame Spread Index 76-200
